I'm so glad you're here. This is the place where I'll be sharing a little bit of everything — from the joys and challenges of motherhood, to fun DIY projects, travel adventures, and so much more. I hope you find inspiration, helpful tips, and a sense of community as we explore all of these wonderful things together!
This past week was my Hubby and I’s third anniversary and we wanted to celebrate by taking a trip and crossing another place off of our bucket list! We found Hozhoni on the Hill and we fell in love and knew it would be a romantic spot!
They do weddings, glamping, and retreats!
Our Stay at Hozhoni on the Hill
Stardome Suite
Have you ever been glamping (glamorous camping)? This was one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever had and wish we could do every weekend. We stayed in the Stardome Suite for a night and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The Stardome Suite is a dome perched 101 feet over Horseshoe Bay with a private deck. We felt like we were in a movie with the unbelievable view and dome. It was perfect to watch the sunset and sunrise through the dome. The Stardome Suite has an outdoor shower, a tub, and a full bathroom. Inside the Stardome Suite there was an air conditioner, a queen-sized bed with linens, a mini fridge, a microwave, a Keurig, and even chargers for our phones and devices.
We loved watching the sunset at night (even after some rain) on our deck. We were even lucky to catch a rainbow that formed after the rain and it was beautiful. We definitely could not recommend the Stardome more and cannot wait to visit in the future!
How far away is it from you?
Marble Falls is about 4 hours away from Dallas, Texas and about one hour away from Austin, Texas.
Did you feel safe at Hozhoni Hill?
Yes! The property made us feel safe. There were locks for the door at the dome and it was a safe property overall.
Were you able to sleep inside of the dome?
The dome has curtains, and you can close them at night or during the day if the sun is too hot.
How do you book a stay at Hozhoni on the Hill?
I booked our stay through their website and it was a very easy process. I also contacted the owner, Bob, and he was so helpful through the booking process!
The Eagle’s Nest Retreat
We stayed at the Eagle’s Nest Tent the second night at Hozhoni. It was very spacious and has everything you need for glamping! This tent is equipped with a queen sized bed, full sized bathroom, outdoor tub, an outdoor deck with chairs, fridge, microwave, Keurig and even games to play. We played some Jenga outside as we watched the sunset which was so fun.
At night time we were able to project a projector on the tent to watch a movie and it was awesome! The views were amazing and we loved our stay.
Thank you, Hozhoni on the Hill, for hosting us! We had an incredible experience!

Lestourgeon Seafood Company
We absolutely loved this restaurant! We went twice during our 2-day stay in the Hill Country. The first time we went for dinner here, it did not disappoint! We had the BEST bloody mary’s and all their drinks looked amazing. For food we ordered the calamari (so good) and I got some fried trout with fried shrimp. It was the best trout I have ever had! My husband got the grilled trout and loved it as well.
The next day we stopped for some more bloody mary’s and tried their fish tacos. They were amazing! I definitely recommend this place if you are ever near here, and the best part is the location! It is right below Hozhoni on the Hill so you can either walk here or take the 2-minute drive down!
Blue Bonnet Cafe
We checked out Bluebonnet Café for breakfast and it was yummy! This café is 92 years old, and they are known for their pies. All their pies looked amazing, and they have a pie happy hour from 3-5pm offering a piece of pie and coffee for $5.
We got some of the biggest pancakes and hash browns there! Everything was great and we definitely will make it back to this café in the future!
Shopping
We found the cutest shops at Marble Falls located very close to Bluebonnet Café. We were able to park in the area and walk the strip. There were so many shops and restaurants!
One of favorites was Birdies Market. It was the cutest antique shop, and they even had an outdoor plant area which was so fun.
Activities: Sweet Berry Farm
This farm was located about 15 minutes from our breakfast place, and it was such a fun experience. We went to pick sunflowers and it was so cool! This farm was very large and had rows on rows of sunflowers. We picked a few and they wrapped them up for us.
During the year they have all different kinds of events and grow all different types of crops such as tulips, pumpkins, strawberries and more. They also make their own ice cream and popsicles which were delicious! We definitely want to make it back in the Fall.
How much does it cost? It was $5 a person for admission and then $2 per sunflower!
